Can my SUV haul a 6 place trailer ?

Q: My SUV is a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport 2 Door 4.0L V6 4x4. The trailer is I think a 18 'or 20' snowmobile trailer with 2 flat tires on each side of the trailer. I am not sure if the tires using additional load on the vehicle and weight distribution, so I added it. Here capabilities http://www.carsdirect.com/research/specs ... Should I go through the language of weight or weight at full load? It will be about 4200 pounds. worth of mountain biking (6 ATV) on the trailer, but the weight is distributed front and rear tires 4 trailer so I'm not sure how it works.I am not sure how this works thats why I am asking. A: tandem axle just helps weight distribution, so much easier to back with. with the trailer have spread all over her weight even if you have any weight to the rear, will tend to lift the rear of the car and trailer 'Sway' speed and start to dictate where car goes. so if you weigh all the towbar of the car takes the most weight over the rear wheels and front of the car a little weight on it so you have little traction for steering and braking.Make sure all tire pressures are still on the trailer, have the back two PSI slightly higher than the two front tires of the trailer. Make sure not to cut corners with the trailer, take corners wide as the trailer will start making road signs and as it will reduce the corner behind the car. Make sure you consider braking distances, if it has hydraulic brakes are not the best braking systems, if you happen to have electric brakes they work incredibly well.

as the towing capacity would not be a problem, our Aussie Ford Falcon 4.0lt straight 6 has a towing capacity of 2.4TON (5291 pounds) and its just a family sedan so I think that a 4WD would be easy.

Can I tow another small trailer behind my travel trailer?

Q: Hi, I have a travel trailer 26 foot. I do not want to buy one of these carriers to put my toy quad in. Has anyone towed the quad snowmobile trailer behind their trip? Is it legal? If so I guess you would not do in a place where you had to save, could be a night mare. I want to bring my 4-wheel that can give some suggestions, along with the wear on my back.

A: It is perfectly legal to take double as long as your travel trailer is a 5th wheel. If your travel trailer is a barrier-pull, then nope!

I have seen many get away with shooting 2 Bumper-pull, but I think it is illegal in all states.

In Nevada, you may need a special license to do so. My father has to upgrade his license because of the gross weight of the truck or trailer (still 26k), even if it is for private use! Check with your local DMV on specific requirements for pulling two trailers ...

I pulled a 16 'behind my 24' gooseneck.You just need to plan in advance when your parking permit or to obtain fuel. You can save (if you began by being straight) but it is kinda tricky, it has helped more than mine were long. I just parked in areas that I knew I could keep going when I left. Make sure to leave more space when passing. If you can not see your second trailer behind your travel trailer, I suggest adding a small dune flags mounted horizontally so that you can see the flags in the ice, so you know where your trailer is, and if it swings or something.

How many axle is it? those trailers aint cheap, i needed a trailer earlyer this year for behind the 4 wheeler, i got a OLD boat trailer from my dads buddy, modified it some, put a sheet of treated plywood on it, used some 2x6s but some walls on it, the tires where flat, spent $18 on tubes and $5 on a new tongue piece to lock onto the ball, so for $23 i got me a 4x8 trailer ( : but i was pricin them and they go for over a grand easly. wut size is yours? how many axle is it? those trailers aint cheap,...
